HO HO HO

Ok, Christmas is coming and I am sooooooo excited! It will be my grandson's first and all the family is coming to my house. I am looking forward to all of it, the cooking, baking, shopping, wrapping, decorating, and even sending out Christmas cards. I can't wait!

Black (and Blue) Friday

Yes I was one of those crazy people that went out shopping at 3a.m. I went with my friend and my daughter to the local shopping mall. We stayed up all night sat in traffic for 45 mins. looked for a parking space for 15 mins. and finally entered the mall. We found that all the stores we wanted to go to were closed. We stood elbow to elbow with many strangers that were as disappointed as us. It was so crowded that you could only walk by squeezing in between people. But we still managed to have a fun time together. The season has now officially begun, Happy Shopping to all!

Is it just that I'm getting OLD!

Well another birthday is approaching. I am ready to stop adding the years and start subtracting. I just read an article that said "Insomnia increases with age and is more common in women." Well that explains that, now I have to figure out why I keep having hot flashes and why everything hurts. Do you think I'm getting old? Nah!

A (little) sigh of relief

OK I do feel a little relieved because now all my children (3) are out of their teens. I now feel like I can breathe a little, relax a little, and calm down (a little). One thing I know is that there will be many ups and downs through out my life but for right now life is good, really good!

I need an anti-antibiotic

I work with children and I am often amazed at what they have to say. Here are some things that I have heard from five year olds recently. "I have a club and you can't be in it unless you give me that", "Do you know how many animals had to die to make that coat?" "my daddy says I can't be a cheerleader, they have no brains. I want to be one but I don't want to lose my brains". "I'm not allowed to play princess, my mommy won't let me." "My mom and dad says if your mean to me, I should punch you in the face." Parents, what are we teaching our children?

Losing YOUR Religion

I am a christian, I believe in God and Jesus Christ! Why is it that so many people are saying they are christian and then go around judging everyone and everything. They have something to say about the television shows that I watch, the music I listen to, the way I raise my kids. Please just do the christian thing and be the best person you can be!

I am a Rock(er)

I do not mean that I am literally made of stone. I love my family, my job, and my friends. I know that I am lucky to be enjoying the wonderful life that I have. I am a rocker because I love rock and roll music. I love dancing (when no one is looking), singing, and just listening to the wonderful beat of the music. This makes me happy, I may be getting older but I still love music and rock is my music of choice.

Insomnia

Never thought I would have a blog, to tell you the truth I am surprising myself right now! Yet, here I am again with another sleepless night and this is what I have decided to do, go figure.
